OUR STORY

Ahava River Designs creates fine art cards and place-based expressive art books inspired by nature, reflection, and meaningful connection — thoughtfully designed for specialty retail environments.

Founded by teacher and designer, Christina DiMari, Ahava River began as a creative studio where art and nature meet to inspire reflection, creativity, and connection. The name Ahava means love, and River represents life — a reminder that both are meant to flow and to be shared.

Today, the collection is carried in museums, resorts, bookstores, outdoor specialty, and boutique gift shops throughout the American West, with select partners nationwide, including:

REI · JAX Outdoor Gear · Trendz · National Museum of Wildlife Art
Boulder Bookstore · YMCA of the Rockies · Aramark · The Ritz-Carlton

Our nature photo cards feature the work of award-winning wildlife cinematographer and photographer Jake Davis, a cinematographer on natural history productions for BBC, National Geographic, Disney, Netflix, and Apple. His work — including contributions to BBC’s Planet Earth — has earned Emmy nominations and international recognition. His imagery has been exhibited in museums and specialty retail locations, reflecting a career devoted to elevating the way we see and experience the wild.

Each card captures a moment of that vision — inviting connection, reflection, and wonder.

Through Christina’s nonprofit outreach, Discovery Art for Youth, more than two million young people have been guided to reconnect with nature, reflection, and creativity — discovering hope, healing, and growth along the way. This ongoing work embodies the heart of the brand: creating meaningful design that inspires connection and creates lasting impact.
